I WILL NOT FEAR!

…because God’s Word promises me…

“God is our refuge and strength,

   an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way     and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam     and the mountains quake with their surging…

7 The Lord Almighty is with us;     the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

(Psalm 46:1-3,7)

I WILL NOT PANIC!

…because God’s Word promises me…

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High

will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you

from the fowler’s snare

and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,

and under his wings you will find refuge;

his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,

nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,

nor the plague that destroys at midday.”

(Psalm 91:1-6)

I WILL NOT BE ANXIOUS!

…because God’s Word promises me…

“…The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

(Philippians 4:5b-7)

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

(1 Peter 5:7)

“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;     I will be exalted among the nations,     I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us;     the God of Jacob is our fortress.

(Psalm 46:10-11)

I WILL NOT FEAR BAD NEWS!

…because God’s Word promises me…

“Surely the righteous will never be shaken…

7 They will have no fear of bad news;

their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear…”

(Psalm 112:6-8)

“Even though I walk     through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,     for you are with me; your rod and your staff,     they comfort me.”

(Psalm 23:4)

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I WILL NOT BE DISCOURAGED OR DISMAYED!

…because God’s Word promises me…

“So do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

(Isaiah 41:10)

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

(Romans 8:28)

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I WILL BE PEACEFUL AND CALM!

…because God’s Word promises me…

“You will keep in perfect peace

those whose minds are steadfast,

4 Trust in the Lord forever,

for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.”

(Isaiah 26:3)

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

(John 14:27)

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

(John 16:33)

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I WILL BE STRONG, COURAGEOUS, AND FAITHFUL!

…because God’s Word promises (and commands) me…

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

(Hebrews 10:23)

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

(Joshua 1:9)
